The Aussie singer, who suffered a rib injury last week, was overcome with emotion while watching the episode that she missed, admitting that it had been a “rough week”.
Delta explained that she’s been taking things “step by step” and hopes that she’ll be able to compete this week.
“I think it takes a second to get into a positive mindset when you have a setback, and you need to just be able to process it and to work out what the body’s saying and how we can continue to move through this.”
She added, “I’m excited to cheer [the other contestants] on, and I hope you enjoy the show, and I’m sorry I’m not there on this one, but I will give it everything I’d got to be able to be there.”
